I decided to take Christina out to play with the neighbor kids while I cleaned the dust off my lens .

Landslide prevention.

A month ago this section of cliff fell down and blocked the 4 lane highway for a little while. Before this it was almost straight up but now since it fell down they decided to knock down the rest of the trees and lose dirt. So they hang by ropes and pick away at the dirt around the stumps until they fall down and then they knock all the lose dirt down. You can see how the are cleaning up the cliff and then they drill some holes into the hillside for anchors and then they will plaster they whole hill with concrete to seal it from the rain and to prevent more landslides from happening.

I am kinda confused, it rains cats and dogs and we get big potholes.

Then after awhile they put dirt in the potholes and then it rains again, like it does in the rainy season almost every day. But for some unknown reason the dirt turns into mud and pushes out of the holes again. I mean they put nice dirt in the holes and they even fill them to the top. This is a very normal and common thing to do.                                                                                                                     Where the sidewalk ends and the road begins…………..
